


Quality Assurance
Standard policies, procedures or practices in place that promote quality
Prior to each input, each consultant will be required to prepare a work program, including proposed outputs and outcomes (copy of a sample of this is available on demand). The program and proposed outputs and outcomes will be reviewed by the Director and the Project Manager from VRS, who will be responsible for ensuring the exact tasks, quality and performance of each consultant. In addition, a personal evaluation system (PES) will be in place (copy available on demand) to measure the performance of each consultant against proposed outputs and outcomes. The PES measures the consultant’s performance against different criteria – including relationships with Client, attention to the needs and conditions of local partners and beneficiaries, and support to knowledge sharing – and serves as a consistent feedback mechanism to ensure quality of the work performed and to highlight areas needed for improvement.
Assigning officers to be responsible for Quality Assurance
The Project Manager appointed by VRS will monitor the work of each individual consultants and the overall progress against TORs and workplan. He/she will be responsible for the preparation of the Proposal including work programs and schedules, consultant’s manning schedule, terms of reference etc. During implementation he will be responsible for overseeing the work of each individual consultants, insure coordination between each team members, attend meetings with consulting team, clients and donors on all matters regarding overall coordination of the project. He will be responsible to ensure the quality of individual reports and deliverables, including coordination and final editing of the progress reports and final reports to clients.

Our company have well-developed and time-tested procedures to monitor the quality of work at the level of individual assignments. Whilst the staff is encouraged to develop personal initiative and to work to the limits of their capabilities, all work is subject to review by senior personnel. The culture within VRS encourages consultation, which in turn promotes quality. The client will be updated regularly on the project progress through formal communication which will help in the monitoring of the performance of the consultants and provide control of non-conforming services, ensure continual improvement and wherever required corrective and preventive action.
